NEW BUSINESS Subject 3.1 Public Service CDBG Funding Requests for Program Year (PY) 2018 / VillagrNUMMUSIM, Access Public Type Action Preferred Date May 24,, 20 1R,, Absolute Date May 24, 201,V,, Fiscal Impact Yes Budgeted Yes Public Content The Planning Division is in the process of developing the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Year (PY) 2018 Action Plan, which will include funding allocations for a number of public service organizations. Attached are copies of the applications submitted by public service organizations who are requesting CDBG funding. These organizations have also been invited to attend the May 24, 2018 public hearing to make a brief presentation and answer any questions the Planning and Zoning Commission may have. The Planning and Zoning Commission has the responsibility to review requests for funding and make recommendations with respect to such requests. To assist the Planning and Zoning Commission in the review of the Public Service Agency Applications, staff has provided the following documents: • Attachment 1: 2015-2019 CDBG Consolidated Plan Priority Needs Summary • Attachment 2: PY 2018 CDBG Public Service Application Comparison & Evaluations • Attachment 3: Preliminary PY 2018 CDBG Budget • Public Agency Applications The U.S. Federal fiscal year 2018 budget has not been finalized therefore our final CDBG allocation has not yet been set. The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has stated that our Annual Action Plan deadline and process will proceed as normal. Our PY2018 allocation and proposed budget is therefore estimated and allocations wil' be proportionately adjusted once the final numbers have been announced. 1. The complete draft of our PY2018 Action Plan will be available for a 30 -day public review period, and posted on the Village website, starting in mid-May. The final draft will go to Village Board in July.
