I' ORDINANCE NO. 2376
I AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO PROSPECT MOOSE LODGE
NO. 660, LOCATED AT 225 EAST PROSPECT AVENUE, MOUNT PROSPECT, ILL.

WHEREAS, the Board of
I hold a public hearing
in the M6unt.Prospect
in the Mount Prospect
Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect did
on July 27, 1972, at the hour of 8:00 P. M.,
Village Hall, pursuant to notice published
Herald on July 3, 1972; and

I WHEREAS, the Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect di
I hear the testimony presented under Case No. 72-22A pertaining to a
request by the Prospect Moose Lodge No. 660 for a certain special
I,' use to permit the utilization of the property hereinafter de-
scribed as a lodge or private club; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect has
recommended to the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect that said request be granted for the following
reasons:

(a) That the establishment, maintenance, or operation
of the special use upon the light industrial proper-
ties herein involved will not be detrimental to or
endanger the public health, safety, morals, comfort,
or general welfare of the citizenry of the Village
of Mount Prospect;
(b) That the special use will not be injurious to the
use and enjoyment of other property in the immediate
vicinity for the purposes already permitted, nor sub-
stantially siminish and impair property values within
the neighborhood.
(c) That the establishment of the special use will not
impede the normal and orderly development and improve-
ment of surrounding property for uses permitted in the
district.
(d) That adequate utilities, access roads, drainage and/or
other necessary facilities have been or are being pro-
vided.

(e) That adequate measures have been or will be taken to
provide ingress and egress so designed as to minimize
traffic congestion in the public streets.
(f) That the special use shall in all other respects con-
form to the applicable regulations of the district in
which it is located; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect have reviewed the said proposal for a special use
and the recommendations of the Board of Appeals under Case No.
72-22A and have determined that the same are in the best interest
of the Village of Mount Prospect;

I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
I TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

SECTION ONE: That the following special use be
granted to the petitioner, Prospect Moose Lodge
for the property which is the subject matter of
which property is legally described as follows:
and is hereby
No. 660, and
Case No. 72-22A,
Lot 16 in J. A. Weber1s Addition to Mount Prospect, being a
subdivision of part of the East 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of
Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois;
to establish and operate a lodge hall upon the above described
property, pursuant to Section 5 of the Zoning Ordinance of the
Village of Mount Prospect.
SECTION TWO: That the aforesaid special use permit shall be
valid and effective only upon the performance with respect to
the subject property of the following conditions and restrictions:
(a) That the subject property is and shall continue to
be classified within the I-l (Light Industrial) zon-
ing district of the Village of Mount Prospect;
(b) That the special use herein authorized adhere to
the off-street parking, height, and setback regu-
lations of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of
Mount Prospect .applicable to the I-l zoning dis-
trict; and
(c) That the special use authorization herein granted
and contained shall be null and void and of no
force and effect whatsoever without further action
by the Board of Appeals and/or the Board of
Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect unless the
special use has not been established within one (1)
year from the effective date of this ordinance.
SECTION THREE: That the Director of Building and Zoning of
the Village of Mount Prospect is hereby directed to issue any
necessary building permits for the subject property in accord-
ance with the special use permit herein granted and the restric-
tions hereinabove set forth.
SECTION FOUR: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in
the manner provided by law.
