ORDINANCE NO. 2398
AN ORDINANCE CREATING A CLASS "V" LIQUOR LICENSE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That Section 13.106 of the Municipal Code of M6urit
Prospect of 1957, as amended, be and the same is further amended
by adding to the said Section 13.106 an additional paragraph to
provide for a "Packaged Wine" license; so that hereafter the said
additional paragraph shall be and read as follows:
"Class 'V' license, which shall authorize the
licensee to sell and offer for sale at retail
in the premises specified for such license,
wine in its original pac~age only.
(1) Samplings of wine in conjunction with
sales promotional efforts shall be al-
lowed pursuant to the regulations con-
tained in Section 13.113 of this chapter.
(2) The annual fee for a Class 'V' license shall
be Seven Hundred Fifty ($750.00) Dollars."
SECTION TWO: That Paragraph 1 of subsection B of Section 13.113
of the Municipal Code of Mount Prospect of 1957, as amended, be
and the same is hereby further amended by including Class "V"
licensees within the provisions of sampling of alcoholic beverages
in package goods stores; so that hereafter the said Paragraph 1
shall be and read as follows:
"1. The Village President, however, may grant
a daily permit to any Class 'C' or Class 'V'
licensee under this Chapter, which permit may
authorize the donation of alcoholic beverages
by such licensee for sampling purposes only in
conjunction with sales promotional efforts on
the premises of such licensee, and authorized
and sponsored by such licensee. No more than
twelve (12) such daily permits shall be issued
to anyone such licensee during the period of
one (1) year."
SECTION THREE: That Section 13.107 of the Municipal Code of Mount
Prospect of 1957, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amende,
to provide for one -(I) Class "V" liquor license, one (1) additional
Class "D" liquor license, and one (1) additional Class "W" liquor
license; and to reduce the number of outstanding Class "C" liquor
licenses by one (1); so that hereafter the said Section 13.107
shall be and read as follows:
"There shall be issued in the Village of
Mount Prospect no more than.:'
(a) Three (3) Class A Licenses
(b) Eight (8) Class B Licenses
(c) Eight (8) Class C Licenses
(d) Two (2) Class D Licenses
(e) One (1) Class E License
(f) One (1) Class M License
(g) One (1) Class R License
(h) One (1) Class V License
(i) Two (2) Class W Licenses "
SECTION FOUR: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication
in the manner provided by law.
