Chairman Reporl:
-Purpose of the board is to disbursement of the 2% funds collected. These funds are not
union or administration controlled.
-Two forms: Expenditure Proposal form and an Expenditure Action form - Forms to be
kept available as a PDF format and at each fire station in the file cabinets.
-Submittal form should be complete with all lines completed and all supporting
documentation.
Treasurer Reporl:
Starting balance $44,201.81
A bond in the amount of $3000 has been issued for the Treasurer per Sate law
- Explanation of the Expenditure Action Form: this form follows both the State Laws
and Village Codes.
- Any request over the amount of $10,000 must go before a general membership for a
vote.
- All proposals that involve equipment used in the Fire Stations or on Fire Department
vehicles will be submitted to the Fire Chief for his approval.
- A running list of what has been approved or denied will be kept and available.
General Questions / comments:
Does the Foreign Fire Tax pay for normal tools? NO - normal daily items should
be covered by the Village, however, better tools could be covered.
Does the account have to have a zero balance at the end of the year? NO.
Any submittal under $10,000 will be discussed at a general meeting.
Deadline for submitting an Expenditure Proposal Form will be no later than one-
week before the set meeting date.
Any request over $10,000 will be open to all members to vote. There will not be a
proxy vote. The voting body shall be membership consisting of: shift-
administration - fire prevention - paid-on-call.
Meetings will held at least quarterly, or more often as necessary based on
number of Expenditure Proposals.
Next meeting date is scheduled for June 8, 2006
