ORDINANCE NO. 5561
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSAL OF
CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY
OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois,
have determined that it is no longer necessary, useful or in the best interest of the Village of
Mount Prospect to retain ownership of a 1995 Ford F-450 Super Duty Squad, Vehicle 545,
previously used by the Mount Prospect Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, in the spirit of cooperation between local governments, the Corporate Authorities of
the Village have determined that the surplus vehicle should be made available to other
governmental units;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS ACTING IN THE
EXERCISE OF THEIR HOME RULE POWERS:
SECTION ONE: This vehicle is no longer necessary or useful to the Village of Mount Prospect.
The best interests of the Village will be served by disposing of the property in the manner
specified below.
SECTION TWO: The Fire Department vehicle being the subject of this ordinance will be sold
for $25,000 to:
Itasca Fire Protection District No.1
520 West Irving Park Road
Itasca Illinois, 60143
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
