ORDINANCE NO. 2506
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING MAP 6N OF THE
MOUNT PROSPECT ZONING ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect heretofore
on June 3, 1974, did conduct a Public Hearing pursuant to proper legal notice under
Case No. 23-Z-74, on a request to rezone certain property at 2-40 North Main Street,
Mount Prospect, Illinois, hereinafter legally described from the P-l (Off-Street Park-
ing) District to the B-3 (Business-Retail and Service) District; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has determined that the zoning change in
area would in no way be detrimental to the Village of Mount Prospect and has recom-
mended that the zoning change be granted; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have
determined that the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect will be attained by
the adoption of the Zoning Board of Appeal recommendation in Case No. 23-Z-74 re-
garding the subject property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That Map 6N of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Mount Prospect
as amended, be and is hereby further amended by reclassifying from P-l (Off-Street
Parking) District to B-3 (Business-Retail and Service) District the following
property:
Parcel 1: Lot "A" (Excepting therefrom that part thereof lying
East of a line described as beginning at a point on the South line
of said Lot "A" which is 10.33 feet West of the Southeast corner
of said Lot "A" and running thence North 510.01 feet to a point
on the North line of said Lot "A" which is 11.50 feet West of the
Northeast corner of said Lot "A" in Block 1 in Ernst Busse Addi-
tion to Mount Prospect, being a subdivision of the South 543 feet
of the East half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 34, Township
42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian.
Parcel 2: Lot "A" in Hillcrest being a subdivision in the East Half
of the Southwest Quarter of Section 34, Township 42 North, Range
11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, according to the plat there-
of recorded July 15, 1926 as Document 9339822, in Cook County, Illinois.
TWO: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
of a properly approved plat of resubdivision consolidating into one lot
record the entire parcel herein described as 2-40 North Main Street, Mount Pros-
pect, Illinois, and the Passage, approval, and publication in this Ordinance in the
manner provided by law.
