ORDINANCE NO. 2542
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING SPECIAL USES FOR PROPERTY
COMMONLY KNOWN AS 662 E. NORTHWEST HIGHWAY
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount
Prospect heard testimony presented under Case No. 35-SU-74,
on August 22, 1974 and September 26, 1974, pursuant to a request
for certain special uses pursuant to the Mount Prospect Zoning
Ordinance to permit certain uses upon the property hereinafter
described: and
WHEREAS, notice of the public hearings held in conjunction with
the aforesaid case were published in the manner provided by law:
and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount
Prospect has filed a report with the President and Board of
Trustees recommending that such special uses be allowed for the
reasons stated therein: and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect have reviewed the said proposed special uses under
Case No. 35-SU-74 and have determined that the same are in the
best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That pursuant to the Mount Prospect Zoning Ordinance,
the following special uses are authorized on the property
described in SECTION TWO hereinbelow:
Laundry and dry cleaning where actual cleaning or
laundry is done on the premises by the use and operation
of the following equipment thereon:
A. Two (2) fifty (50) pound automatic washers and
extractors:
B. One (1) shirt presser:
C. Two (2) body pressers:
D. Two (2) sleeve pressers: . and
E. Two (2) collar and cuff pressers.
SECTION TWO: That special uses authorized to be established in
SECTION ONE above shall not run w~th the land but shall be valid
and effective only so long as the establishment is operated by
L-Nor Cleaners, Inc. upon the following property legally described
as:
Lots 60 and 6l in Morningside Gardens, being a sub-
division of part of the Northeast Quarter (1/4) of
Section l2, Township 4l North, Range 11, East of the
Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois:
which property has been zoned B-3 (Business - Retail and Service)
District and which zoning classification shall remain in full
force and effect.
SECTION THREE: That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after the recording of an approved plat resub-
dividing (consolidating) the subject property into one (l)
lot of record: the removal of flashing devices on signs presently
located upon the subject property: and after its passage, approva
and publication in the manner provided by law.
