ORDINANCE NO. 2500
. AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE UNINCORPORATED AREA
!KNOWN AS "PROSPECT MEADOWS" TO THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
I
I WHEREAS, the Honorable Harry G. Comerford, Judge in the Circuit Court of Cook
I County, Illinois, pursuant to Sections 7-1-2 through 7-1-4 of Chapter 24 of the
I Illinois Revised Statutes, has ordered that the question of annexation of the here-
:1 inbelow described territory be submitted to the President and Board of Trustees
i of the Village of Mount Prospect for final action; and
i WHEREAS, a certified copy of that Order of the Court has been received by the
I Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect; and
i WHEREAS, the Administration of the Village of Mount Prospect has conducted an
i investigation and made an analysis of the land and territory described hereinbe-
I low; and
, WHEREAS, the said real estate hereinafter described is contiguous to the corporate
i limits of the Village of Mount Prospect and not within the corporate boundaries of

I any municipality; and

i WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect,
II Cook County, Illinois, do believe it to be in the best interests of the Village of
n Mount Prospect that the properties hereinafter described be annexed to the Village

ship 42 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian described as
follows: Commencing at a point on the West line of the Southwest Quarter
of Section 27 aforesaid which is 50.0 feet North of the Southwest corner
thereof; thence North on the West line of the Southwest Quarter of Section
27 aforesaid to a point which is 250.0 feet South of the Northwest corner
of the Southwest Quarter of Section 27 aforesaid; thence East parallel with
the North line of the Southwest Quarter of Section 27 aforesaid, 436.78 feet;
thence Northeasterly at right angles to the center line of Rand Road 134.77
feet to the Northeasterly line of Rand Road and the Southwesterly line of
Lot 7 in Arlington Meadows being a Subdivision of that part of the West Half
of the Southwest Quarter lying Northeasterly of the center line of Rand Road
in Section 27, Township 42 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meri-

Mount Prospect be and the same are hereby enlarged and extended so as to include
within said boundary lines and corporate limits the above described land and
territory.
