ORDINANCE NO. 2575
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE FOR PROPERTY
COMMONLY KNOWN AS 2 EAST NORTHWEST HIGHWAY
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect did hold
a public hearing on December 19, 1974, and on April 24, 1975, at the hour of 8: 00
p . m. , in the Mount Prospect Village Hall pursuant to proper legal notice; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect heard testi-
mony presented under Case No. 43-SU-74 pertaining to a request for certain special
uses pursuant to the Mount Prospect Zoning Ordinance to permit certain uses upon
the property hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect did recom-
mend to the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect the
approval of this request under Case No. 43-SU-74; and
WHEREAS, the Building Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount
Prospect did meet on July 9, 1975, and did consider the recommendations of the
Zoning Board of Appeals under Case No. 43-SU-74; and
WHEREAS, the Building Committee have recommended that the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect concur in the recommendations of the
Zoning Board of Appeals to allow the special use as presented in Case No. 43-SU-'t4;
and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have
reviewed the matter herein and have determined that the same is in the best interests
of the Village of Mount Prospect;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That pursuant to the Mount Prospect Zoning Ordinance, the
special use is hereby authorized on the property described in SECTION TWO herein-
below:
The operation of mechanical game machines including pin ball
machines as well as the lease of time thereon to third parties for
their amusement in the running of such machines located on the
said premises, provided that the operation and the hours of such
use of said machines conform to other applicable ordinances of the
Village of Mount Prospect.
SECTION TWO: That the special use authorized to be established in SECTION ONE
above shall not run with the land but shall be valid and effective only so long as
the establishment is operated by William A. Herman upon the following property
legally described as:
The West 40 feet (as measured on the North line) of Lot 10 (except
the North 42 feet thereof) in Block 15 in Mount Prospect, a subdivi-
sion of part of the Northwest Quarter ,North of Railroad in Northeast
Quarter of Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the
Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois,
which property has been zoned B-3 (Business-Retail and Service) District, and
zoning classification shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION THREE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
