ATTENDEES: Bob Ancona, Della Baldwin, Dale Draznin, Leo Floros,
Lit Floros, Linda Hoefert, l.\'like Janonis, Paul Seils, Teresa Wolf, Laury
Youngquist.
Leo Floros called the meeting to order at 9:10 a.m. The minutes of the
February 14 meeting were approved as presented.
FINANCIAL REPORT: Copies of the Treasurer's Report and the
Celestial Celebration report were reviewed and approved. The
Treasurer's Report showed an account balance of $11,454 as of
February 13, 2004. The Celestial Celebration report showed a profit of
$1,502 for the event. However, there are still some bills outstanding and
it would appear that when all bills are paid, we probably will break even
for Celestial Celebration XI.
CELESTIAL CELEBRATION ODDS 'N ENDS: LiI Floros reported
that a number of individuals who attended the Celebration had
expressed interest in purchasing the Public Works toy dump trucks.
Public Works also is interested in obtaining some of the toy trucks for its
annual open house. After some discussion, the Commission authorized
the purchase of 100 dump trucks, complete with the Public Works decal,
at a unit cost of $10. The toy trucks will be sold for $15.
Leo Floros reported that the l\tlount Prospect Journal has been
publishing feature stories on each of the Shining Star Award winners.
To date, seven stories have appeared with more scheduled.
WELCOl\'IE TO l\tIOUNT PROSPECT: Invitation letters for the April
17 event are to be mailed within the next week. Gift certificates from
Border's Bookstore, Ace Hardware, Oberweiss Ice Cream, and Busse's
Flowers will be raffled off at the Welcome. The event will be held at
Central Communitv Center.

OTHER: The Village Hall Open House has been scheduled for
Saturday, October 2.....Leo Floros alerted members of two other events
that might include our involvement: the Sister Cities Thanksgiving in
October banquet and a possible fund raiser by the Historical Society to
raise money to move the old Central School from its present location to
the site of the Historical Society museum.
