ORDINANCE NO. 2720
AN ORDINANCE REZONING PROPERTY GENERALLY
LOCATED NORTH OF RAND ROAD AND SOUTH OF
CENTRAL ROAD FROM RX TO B-3 (MAP 10-S)

WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals Off the Village fof Mount Prospect did I
recommend that the President and Board 0 Trustees 0 the Village of Mount I
Prospect rezone the subject property hereinafter described from RX to B-3 pur- I
suant to the petition in the said Case lO-Z/SU-77; and I
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect I
have reviewed the recommendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals in Case lO-Z/SU-l7;
and I

WHEREAS, the said President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect!
believe the said rezoning is in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect; I

WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Vill<::ge of Mount PrOi'ipect did hCE,r
Case 10-Z/SU-77 at 8 o'clock P.M. on April 28, 1977 and May 26, 1977; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That Map 10-S of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Mount
Prospect be amended by reclassifying from RX (single family residence district)
to B-3 (business - retail and service district) the following described properties:
That part of the Northwest Fractional Quarter of Section 7, Township 41.
North, Range 12, East of the Third Principal Meridian, Bounded and
described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 12 in
Arthur T. McIntosh & Co.' s Des Plaines Acres, a Subdivision of part of
the Northwest Fractional Quarter of said Section 7; thence West parallel
to the North line of said Northwest Fractional Quarter for a distance of
397.54 feet, to a point of curve; thence on the arc of a circle .convex
Westerly, tangent to the last described course having a radius of 20 feet,
for a distance of 51. 40 feet (as measured on said arc) to its point of
tangency with a line 50 feet Northeasterly of and parallel to the Center
Line of Rand Road as now located; thence Southeasterly on Said parallel
line for a distance of 487 .44 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 13 in
Said Arthur T. McIntosh and Co.' s Des Plaines Acres; thence North on the
West line of Lots 13 and 12 aforesaid, for a distance of 300.56 feet to the
point of beginning, Excepting therefrom that part lying West of a line 167.63
feet West of and parallel to the West line of said Lots 12 and 13 (as measured
on the North line of said tract) all in Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION THREE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law; and

! the recordation with the Cook County Registrar of Deeds of an approved plat
I resubdividing the subject property into one lot of record in the manner provided
I by law.
