ORDINANCE NO. 2729
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING CERTAIN VARIATIONS
FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 501 WEST ALGONQUIN ROAD

WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect did meet 0. .
the 24th day of March, 1977, the 23rd day of June, 1977, and the 7th day of July,
1977 , at the hour of 8: 00 p. m. , at the :Mount Prospect Public Safety Building Board.
room and did hear Case No. 6- V -77., pursuant to proper legal notice; and
WHEREAS. the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect did hear
, this request to construct an addition to an office building with certain variations
from the Mount Prospect Zoning Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect did recam-
mend to the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of l\'1ount Prospect the
approval of this request under Case No. 6-V-77; and
WHEREAS. the Building Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Village of J\Iount
Prospect have recommended that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount
Prospect concur in the recommendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals under Case
No. 6-V-77; and
\1:11 WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of IVIount Prospect
have reviewed the matter herein and have determined that the same is in the hest
interests of the Village of 1\10unt Prospect;

NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEE:::
OF THE VILL..;.\GE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the property being the subject matter of Case No,. 6-V-77.
being legally described as follows:
Lot 1 in Keolyn Plastics, Inc. Subdivision of the North 683.46 feet
of the east 200.0 feet of the part of the northeast 1/4 of the SE 1/4
of Section 23, Township 41 North, Range 11 east of the Third
Principal Meridian lying west of the east 20.0 acres of the said
NE 1/4 of the SE 1/ 4 all in Cook County, Illinois.
is currently zoned under the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Mount Prospect as
I-I (Light Industrial District), which zoning classification shall remain in effect
subject ~o the variations granted herein:
A. That the land described above may include the construction and
erection of an addition to an office building vvith provisions for
eighty-seven (87) 10' x 20' off-street parking spaces to serve same
during that period of time the said building and premises are oc-
cupied by Keolyn Plastics. Inc.
B . That the side yard adj acent to the South lot line of the subject
property be reduced to five feet (5'), as shown upon the survey
attached hereto and hereby made a part hereof as Exhibit I.

C. That the construction of the proposed office building addition
may 1 oceed notwithstanding the fact that the subject property
is located upon a lot consisting of less than four (4) acres in
size.
SECTION TWO: That all requirements of the Mount Prospect Building and Zoning
Code shall be applicable except the variations noted in SECTION ONE heretofore
mentioned.
SECTION THREE: That the Director of Building and Zoning of the Village of Mount
Prospect is hereby authorized to issue a building permit for construction in
accordance with the variations hereinbefore mentioned.
I SECTION FOUR: That the variations granted by this Ordinance shall be null and
I void and of no force and effect whatsoever unless an application for a building
I permit pursuant to such variations is made and construction commenced within one
(1) year of the date this said Ordinance becomes effective.
SECTION FIVE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
