AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE FOR PROPERTY
COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1326 WEST CENTRAL ROAD
WHEREAS, the Mt. Prospect Park District (hereinafter referred to as Petitioner) has filed
a petition for a Conditional Use with respect to property located at 1326 West Central
Road (hereinafter referred to as the Subject Property); and
WHEREAS, the Subject Property is legally described as follows:
Lot 1 in Arlington Club Beverage Company Subdivision of the west 100.0 feet
of the east 400.24 feet of the south 200.00 feet of that part of Lots "G" and
"H" (taken as a tract) in Kirchoffs Subdivision in Section 33, Township 42
North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, lying north of a line
50.0 feet north of and parallel with the south line of said Section 33, in Cook
County, Illinois; and
and
WHEREAS, Petitioner seeks a Conditional Use to permit an Visual Arts Center, as
provided in Section 14.703.A. 1-2 and 4 as a Cultural Education or Community Center
use; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the request for a Conditional Use, designated
as ZBA Case No. 10-Z-96, before the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount
Prospect on the 25th day of Apdl, 1996, pursuant to proper legal notice having been
published in the Mount Prospect Journal and Topics on the 10th day of April, 1996; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has submitted its findings and
recommendations to the President and Board of Trustees in support of the request being
the subject of ZBA 10-Z-96; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have
given consideration to the request herein and have determined that the same meets the
standards of the Village and that the granting of the proposed Conditional Use would be
in the best interest of the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, iLLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: The recitals set forth hereinabove are incorporated as findings of fact
by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect.
SECTION TWO: The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
do hereby grant a Conditional Use to the subject property in order to operate a Visual
Arts Center to occupy 25% or 2,800 square feet of total floor area, as shown on the Site
Plan, a copy of which is attached hereto and hereby made a part hereof as Exhibit "A".
The Conditional Use granted herein shall be subject to the Petitioner providing off-site
parking as authorized by an Agreement between the Metropolitan Reclamation District,
the Village of Mount Prospect and the Mt. Prospect Park District.
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in .full force and effect from and after its
