Thanks!!ivin!! in October Banouet
At the time of the meeting, there were 60 people registered for the banquet. Staff will send press release. The
program will include the Community Band. It was hoped that a representative from Prospect High School would be
there to report on their exchange that took place in the spring.
The committee will meet at the Avalon around 2:30 to decorate. The Quinns will bring greetings from Sevres. There
was discussion about showing the Sevres video, but it was decided against in the interest of time. The Mayor will
give a welcome and a representative from St. Emily's will give the invocation.
Prosnect Hi!!h School Exchan!!e
The question was raised about the Commission contributing funds for activities while students from Sevres are here
on the exchange. There was some discussion about approaching service clubs for assistance. There were concerns
about setting a precedent. John Korn and Paul Seils were authorized to pursue this matter with the Lions Club. This
subject was tabled for the next meeting, at which time there would be a better idea of how much revenue would be
received from the banquet.
