RESOLUTION NO. 49 -05
A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE PROSPECT KNIGHTS FOOTBALL TEAM AS IHSA
CLASS 7A FOOTBALL CHAMPIONS
WHEREAS, under the leadership of Head Coach Brent Pearlman and an outstanding coaching staff, the Football Knights were
tenacious when it was rough. suffiring their only loss in the season opener; and.
WHEREAS, with the talents of the players, the teamwork of doing what needed to be done. and doing it together, the 'WE ARE
ONE" PROSPECT KNIGHTS, became undefeatable, winning their next eight regular season games; and
WHEREAS, the PROSPECT KNIGHTS, believed in each other and were committed to what they wanted to do and ultimately
accomplished one playoff game win at a time,

and;
WHEREAS, on Saturday, November 26, 2005 in Champaign, Illinois the Football Knights, took on and took down 10 time state
champion. Mt. Carmel in an unforgettable 20-14 victory to capture the School's third State Championship in five years.
WHEREAS, the Football Knights championship season and how the team played brings honor to them, their coaches, their
teachers, their parents. alumni, the student body, School District 214 and the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF
MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, on behalf of a proud community,
do hereby acknowledge and recognize the PROSPECT FOOTBALL TEAM for their outstanding achievements during this
memorable football season.
SECTION TWO: That the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect do hereby extend to Head Coach
Brent Pearlman, his coaching staff and returning players high hopes for continued success on the football field for years to come.
SECTION THREE: That the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect do hereby extend best
wishes to the graduating Football Knights for lifelong success and happiness in their future endeavors; never forgetting to keep
reachingfor their dreams.
SECTION FOUR: That an official copy of this Resolution be suitably prepared and presented to the PROSPECT KNIGHTS
as a perpetual memento.
SECTION FIVE:

That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner
