After study of the bids by the Village Engineers, a motion was made by Trustee Wilson, seconded by Willer, that the contract fo: the work to be done on project known as AS No. 4 and S.A. No. 13 be awarded to the low bidder, Milburn Bros, in the amount of $6,925.85 subject to the approval of the State Highway Department. The President Pro Tern put the question, the Acting Clerk called the roll with the following response: Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon the President Pro Tern declared the motion carried. There being no further business to came before the meeting a motion was made by Trustee Willer, seconded by Airey, that the meeting be adjourned. On roll call the following Trustees answered tlpresent": Airey, Schla ver, Viger, ifJ ier, Willer and Wilson. A motion was then made by Trustee Willer, seconded by Schlaver, that Trustee Viger be appointed President Pro-Tem. The motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon the Clerk declared th. motion carried and Trustee Viger took the President's chair. The Trustees having previously received copies of the minute of the regular meeting held August 21st, a motion was made by Truste Willer, seconded by Airey, that these minutes be approved, as sub- mitted. The President pro-tem put the question, the Clerk called th roll, with the following response: }J,es: I~ll; Na;ys: None. Thereupon the President Pro-Tem declared the motion carried and said minutes approved. A motion was then made by Trustee Schlaver, seconded by Will to authorize the Boy Scout Fund Drive, between November 13 to December 13, 1956. The motion was voted upon by acclamation whereup the President Pro-Tern declared the motion carried. President Pro-Tem Viger then asked for any requests from the audience and approximately fifty minutes was spent, with audience participation, discussing drainage problems in McIntosch Northwest Headows and along See-Gwun P,venue, north of Shabonee Trail. The following petition, signed by 195 residents, was then presented: TO THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT AND I TS GOVERNING BODY We, the undersigned, being resident, taxpayers, and voters of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, do hereby petition the Village of Mount Prospect and its governing body to have the uppaved section of Evergreen Avenue, situated between Wapella and Can-Dota Avenues, paved, thereby providing the undersigned with ready access to, and a fuller enjoyment of, our homes, which we had anticipated when we selected this community for our homesites. A motion was then made by Trustee Wilson, seconded by Willer, that tnis peti tion be placed on file. Tb.e motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon the President Pro-Tern declared the motion carried. Thereupon the president Pro-Tem delcared the motion carried. A motion was then made by Trustee Wier, seconded by Scblaver, to authorize a refund of $45.00 on Permit No. 5610 to Ragnar and Benson, Inc. as this fee was charged in excess due to error in water meter size. The President Pro-Tem put the question, the Clerk called the roll, with the following response: Pyes: Pll; Nays: None. Thereupon the President Pro-Tern declared the motion carried. A motion was made by Trustee Wier, seconded by Schlaver, to grant permission to erect a sign 8 feet wide by 4 feet high at 717 North Russell, to Michael Babiarz and also permission be granted to Narvin R. Rakin of the Ivlar-Don Construction Compan;y to erect a sign 16 feet wide by 8 feet hif~ at 1116 Busse Avenue. The motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon the President PI'o-Tem declared the motion carried. Trustee Airey then read a proposed parking ordinance covering parking along the east side of Route 83 between Shabonae and Pine street. A motion was then made by Trustee Airey, seconded by Willer, that the ordinance be passed. After eonsiderable discussion regarding the ordinance and strong objections being raised by :!VIr. DiMucci, Trustee ~iiller asked that the meeting be recessed before a vote was taken. The meeting was recessed at 10:55 P.}!!. and reconvened at 11:15 P.rL Trustee Willer then withdrew his second to the motion. The following petition for annexation was then read: TO: The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois.
