Thi s schedule has been di s cus sed with the pre sen t
office personnel and is far more acceptable than the
present schedule. It is believed that Monday night, being
an tfofftt night affords a better opportuni ty for residents
to transact business at the Village hall than Friday
evening, the shopping night.
It will be desirable to have the offices open
Saturday morning until March 1 of this year for the
accommodation of persons purchasing Village vehicle
licenses. However, a plan to purchase licenses by
mail next year should entirely eliminate the need of
Saturday hours.

After some discussion from the audience pertaining
to the advisability of establishing Village e~ening hours
on Friday 6yening instead of Monday evening, a show of
hands by the audience indicated a preference of citizens
present for Monday evening as opposed to Friday evening.
It was moved by Trustee Willer and seconded by Trustee
Broad that the recommendation of the Village Manager
pertaining to office hours be put into effect beginning
March 3, 1958. A citizen suggested that the change of
hours be published in the Mount Prospect Herald. The
President put the question and the Clerk called the roll,
with the following response: Ayes: All; Nays: None,
whereupon the President declared the motion carried.
A citizen complained that there had been no plowing
of snow in Prospect Manor. She complained that corners
had not been sanded and recommended sanding of cornors
where stop signs are placed.

Dear Sir:
On January 6th, 1958 at 2 A.M. Mrs. Charlotte Wolf,
mother of the writer, suffered a very severe heart attack.
At the urgent recommendation of Dr. Bagnuolo by phone,
we phoned the Mt. Prospect Fire Department Inhalator squad.
'l'he response to the call was both gratifyine and over-
whelming to this tax payer. .
In two minutes the squad car WB.S at the front door
with emergency light on, marking yhe.residence plainly.
In four minutes the inhalator squad was here and 30
seconds more were administering oxygen to the desperate
patient. By the time the physician arrived in another
five minutes the patient was definitely better and
beyond danger of succumbing to the attack.
The police did a rurther service in another few
minutes by meeting an ambulance at the village limits
and guiding them to our door, thereby saving more
precious time.
It is beyond us to say for sure, but we feel that
one of our family was very close to death and that the
excellent cooperation of the Police Dept. and speed of
the inhalator squad is partly responsible for Charlotte
Wolf being with us today.
Our entire family wishes to express our thanks
to every man involved in the above incident for a job
well done. Each a.:r:td everyone of them can be proud of
his performance that ni.ght.
Gratefully,
S/ Walter Wolf.
