NOTICE OF VILLAGE BOARD SPECIAL WORKSHOP
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT a three person Subcommittee of the Village
Board of the Village of Mount Prospect will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday,
September 6, 2005, at the Mount Prospect Village Hall, Third Floor, Executive
Conference Room, to discuss development of an evaluation instrument to
measure the performance of the Village Manager.

A. PZ-25-05, Text Amendment, Village of Mount Prospect 2reading of (EXHIBIT A)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7 (SIGN) OF THE VILLAGE CODE
This ordinance amends Section 7.325 “Special Signs”, Section 7.330 “Special
Use” and Section 7.335 “Special Area of Control”, to allow for use of sidewalk
signage in the Downtown District. The Planning and Zoning Commission has
recommended approval by a vote of 5-0.

A. PZ-30-05, 253 East Rand Road, Early Days Day Care (EXHIBIT B)

1 reading of AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A CONDITIONAL USE
PERMIT FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 253 EAST RAND ROAD
This ordinance grants a Conditional Use permit to allow the operation
of a day care center. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended
approval of the Conditional Use permit by a vote of 5-0.

B. 1 reading of AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SURPLUS (EXHIBIT C)
VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT
PROSPECT
This ordinance allows the Village, as a member of the Northwest Municipal
Conference, to participate in a public auction of surplus vehicles, at the
Mount Prospect Public Works facility, 1700 W. Central Road, on
September 17, 2005.

C. 1 reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5 (BOARDS AND (EXHIBIT D)
COMMISSIONS) OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
This ordinance establishes an Audit Committee with the purpose of assisting
the corporate authorities in obtaining and monitoring the Village’s annual audit
to ensure a fair and accurate presentation of the Village’s financial statements.

D. 1 reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5 (BOARDS AND (EXHIBIT E)
COMMISSIONS) AND CHAPTER 11 (MERCHANTS, BUSINESSES,
OCCUPATIONS AND AMUSEMENTS) OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF
MOUNT PROSPECT
This ordinance establishes a Foreign Fire Insurance Tax Board with the purpose
of receiving and expending foreign fire insurance tax funds for the maintenance,
use and benefit of the Village Fire Department.
