JANONIS DATE: JULY 1,2005 SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT OF VILLAGE CLERK Pursuant to Chapter 4, Section 4.511 of the Municipal Code, "the Village Clerk shall be appointed by the Village Manager subject to the approval of such appointment by the President and Board of Trustees." At this time, I am pleased to offer your consideration the appointment of Lisa Angell, Solid Waste Coordinator, to fill the position of Village Clerk. Ms. Angell is a seventeen year employee with the Village of Mount Prospect and currently serves as Solid Waste Coordinator. Lisa began her tenure with the Village as an Administrative Aide in the Department of Public Works in 1988. Over the years she has taken on a number of diverse responsibilities including coordinating the Village's Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) program and staff liaison to the Community Relations Commission. Lisa has also filled-in in the Clerk's Office over the years. Ms. Angell's background and knowledge of all aspects of Village operations makes her an excellent candidate for the position. The recent move to the new Village Hall and the consolidation of the Clerk's and Manager's offices on the third floor creates a unique opportunity to strengthen the service delivery capabilities of both offices. Lisa's talents will add greatly to that effort. Lisa is a resident of Mount Prospect along with her children Brian (15) and Kathryn (11). \ '-.
