ORDINANCE NO. 2886
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
RELATING TO COMPENSATION
I BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE,
OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
¡ SECTION ONE: That Section 1.004 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Mount
Prospect of 1957, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended in
its entirety; so that hereafter the said Section 1.004 shall be and read as follows:

Section 1. 004.
Bond--Oath--Salary.
A. Before entering upon the duties of his office the Village President
shall give a bond with sureties to be approved by the Board of
Trustees conditioned upon his faithful performance of duties of
Village President in the sum of three thousand dollars ($3,000).
The Village President shall take the oath of office as prescribed
by statute and shall receive as compensation the sum of two
thousand dollars ($2,000) annually, payable in twelve equal
monthly installments.
B. Any ordinance providing for a change in the compensation or
fringe benefits of the Village President shall be adopted no less
than 120 days nor more than 150 days prior to the date set for
the election of the Village President. It
SECTION TWO: That Section 2.102 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Mount
Prospect of 1957, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended in
its entirety; so that hereafter the said Section 2.102 shall be and read as follows:

Section 2.102. Oath--Salary. I
A. Any person duly elected or appointed to sit as a member of the Board
of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, as a Trustee, shall
take the oath of office prescribed by statute and shall receive as
compensation for the performance of his duties an annual salary of
öne thousand two hundred dollars ($1,200) payable in twelve
(12). equal monthly installments.
B. Any change in the compensation or fringe benefits provided for
Trustees shaUbe made by ordinance adopted not less than 120
days nor more than 150 days prior to the date set for election of
Trustees. . "
SECTION THREE: That Section 3.113 of the Municipal Code of the Village of
Mount Prospect of 1957, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended
I in its entirety; so that hereafter the said Section 3.113 shall be and read as

Section 3.113.
Salary.
A. The salary of the Village Clerk for the performance of the duties of
the office shall be the sum of one thousand two hundred dollars
($1,200) payable in twelve equal monthly installments.
B. Any change in the compensation or fringe benefits provided for

Village Clerk shall be made by ordinance adopted not less than
120 days nor more than 150 days prior to the date set for election
of Village Clerk. "
SECTION FOUR: That Section 13.109 of the Municipal Code of the Village of
Mount Prospect of 1957, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended
I by adding thereto an additional subsection, Subsection C, regulating the time
within which the compensation of the local liquor control commissioner may be
changed; so that hereafter the said Subsection C of Section 13.109 shall be and
read as follows:

C. Any change in the compensation or fringe benefits provided for I
the Local Liquor Control Commissioner hereinabove shall be !
made by ordinance adopted not less than 120 days nor more than
150 days prior to the date set for the election of the Village Trustees. . II
SECTION FIVE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
