A RESOLUTION REQUESTING PERMISSION TO CLOSE
A PORTION OFA STATE ROAD TO CONDUCT A ~'¡ALKATHON
WHEREAS, the supporters of the Equal Rights Amendment desire to
¡hold their ERA Wa1kathon on a portion of Central Road and Main
¡Street (Route 83) on August 24, 1980; and
WHEREAS, said wa1kathon will require the closing of Central Road
II either partially or completely between Mount Prospect Road and
Main Street and the closing of Main Street (Route 83) either
partially or completely between Central Road and Thayer Street ¡and

hmw, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
¡OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
i SE'CTTON' ONE: That the Village of Mount Prospect will assume full
I respO1:sibil~ty for t~edirection, P:ot7ction and regulatior: o~ .'
¡traffic durlng the tlme the detour lS In effect, and all llabll-
¡ities for damages of any kind occassioned by the closing of said
¡state Routes.
¡SECTION TWO: That the Village of Mount Prospect will provide for
¡efficient, all weather detours to be maintained conspicuously
marI:-êd and judiciously police patrolled for the benefit of traffic
I devlated from the State Routes. ,
I SECTION' THREE: That a map indicating the detour route is attached
¡hereto and hereby made a part hereof.
I SECTION FOUR: That tI;ìs Resolution shall be ir: full force and
I' effect from and after lts passage and approval In the manner
!provided by law.
