RESOLUTION NO.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF A SITE FOR
,ENIOR CITIZEN HOUSING BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT,
, " COOK COUNTY, 'ILLINOIS' " "
WEE AS, there is a demonstrated need for low-cost housing for
senior citizens residing in the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHE AS, the Village of Mount Prospect has entered into the
Co ,unity Development program in order to assist Village residents
of lö~ and moderate income in securing adequate housing; and
WEE AS, the site legally described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto
hasl¡been reviewed by Village staff and by advisory conuni ttees,
and I has been determined to be an appropriate site for the
con#truction of housing for the elderly~
NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HAYOR AND,BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF HE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SEC ION ONE: The Village of Mount Prospect is desirous of
acq,iring the reàl estate legally described in Exhibit "A"
att ched hereto and incorporated herein by this reference.
SEC ION TWO: The Village Manager of the Village of Mount Prospect
be, and he 1S hereby, authorized to secure the services of real
estkte appraisers in order to determine reasonable compensation
for II the real estate described on Exhibit "A" hereto. .
SEC ION THREE: The Village Manager and the Community Development
Dep rtment 0 the Village of Mount Prospect be, and they are
her by, authorized to complete any necessary studies and enter
int any negotiations related to the acquisition of the real
est~tes described on Exhibit "A" hereto in accordance with federal
pro,edures and guidelines under the Conununity Development Act.
SEC, ION FOUR: The Village of Mount Prospect is determined in its
int nt to acquire the real estate described on Exhibit "A"
her: to, and the Village Manager, Conununity Development Department,
and Village Attorney of the Village of Mount Prospect be, and
the, are hereby, authorized to institute condemnation proceedings,
if lecessary, to acquire said real estate.
SEC ION FIVE: That this Resolution sha¡l be in full force and
eff ct from and after its passage and approval in the manner
pro ided by law.

Lots 2 and 3 of Centennial Subdivision being a
Subdivision of the East one-half of the Southwest
one-quarter of Section 35, Township 42 North,
Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian
in Cook County, Illinois.
