RESOLUTION NO.

A RESOLUTION HONORING EDWARD SPACAPAN
WHEREAS, EDWARD SPACAPAN has spent a distinguished career in
the field of education; and
WHEREAS, our community has benefited from the many years of
service by EDWARD SPACAPAN being an educator with School
District 214 since 1950; having taught at Arlington High School r
and Prospect High School until 1973 at which time EDWARD SPACAPA
was appointed Principal of Prospect High School; and
WHEREAS, during the years that EDWARD SPACAPAN has been I
principal, Prospect High School has been acknowledged by collegef
as having graduates with one of the highest grade point averages
of incoming students; and
WHEREAS, extra cirricular activities for students has been encou ë
by EDWARD SPACAPAN resulting in Prospect High School receiving
many honors including excellence in sports, receiving the
Paddock Cup for several consecutive years, and the Blue Knights
Marching Band earning the distinction of being Number One in the
State of Illinois for many years and one of the top twelve
marching bands in the entire nation; and

EDWARD SPACAPAN has promoted parent involvement in all I
education; and
WHEREAS,
areas of
WHEREAS, as well as EDWARD SPACAPAN devoting himself to the
development of our youth, he has also been active in the I
Mount Prospect Rotary Club, is a member of the State Mathematics I
Association, and a supporter of the Booster Club.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEE
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

SECTION ONE: That the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Villag
of Mount Prospect take this opportunity to express appreciation to
EDWARD SPACAPAN for hIs years of service and to extend wishes fot
continued happiness and good health in his retirement. I
SECTION TWO: That a copy of this Resolution, suitably framed, bl
presented to EDWARD SPACAPAN as a perpetual memento of the I
acknowledgement expressed herein.
SECTION THREE: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner
provided Þy law.
