Call to Order 9:00 a.m.
Attendance Teresa VanOpDorp, Jill Friedrichs, Christina Greco, Maura Drews, Sandy DiCaro,
Brenda Sawyer, Haley Schecter, Paul Seils, Brian Lambel and Vicki Busse
Absent Tarina Wimmer, Fred Steinmiller and Mike Cassady

Secretary's Report
*No Report
Finance Review
The Finance Report was given to members in attendance. Motion to accept the Finance
Report as presented made by Jill Friedrichs, seconded by Vicki Busse. Motion approved.
4th of July Parade
*68 participants, shorter parade means less drinking and craziness at starting area by spectators.
*Two issues during parade:
1. Peterson Roofing was throwing freeze pops from top of box truck
2. Kaepplinger group used confetti cannon throughout parade. MPPW had difficult time
cleaning streets after parade.
*Two gaps by the dancing corps. Both groups danced the entire route and spectators were
understanding.
*Cell phones: The corvette group had several members using their phones while driving, will
address with the contact person.
*Everything went well at the starting area.
*Find out how to get clydesdales to be an entrant.
*Maura did a great job.
Family Bike Ride
*August 17th; 8:30 volunteers; 9:00 check-in; 9:30 ride starts
*Need to order reflectors and stickers, pick up granola and bananas, chalk - Teresa
*2 tents, 5 tables, 10 chairs, cooler and ice - MPPD
*Water and Sunny D - MPLC Fred
*Raffle Prizes and ask Greg Sill if MPPD has any raffle prizes
*Need registration form
*Tear down between 11:00 and 11:30
Gala Dinner
A vote was taken to keep the Gala Dinner at Cotillion Banquets, the results were 9 yes votes and
1 no vote. Teresa and Brian will visit venues in Mount Prospect on the viability of moving back to
Mount Prospect and give report at next meeting.
Questions to ask:
How many people can the venue hold?
What will our event receive for the per person cost?
And what is that cost?
Can the committee get into the venue the day before?
Will the committee be able to pick up decorations on Monday?
Will the winner video be able to be seen by all guests?
