RESOLUTION APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT
RESOLUTION NO. R-16-12
WHEREAS, Northwest Assembly of God filed an application for a Special Use permit and Variation to
allow an electronic message board with respect to property commonly known as 900 Wolf Road in the
Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois.
WIIEREAS,the subject property is described as follows:
Lot 1 in Subdivision of the Northwest Assembly of God Church, being the east 300 feet of the south 530
feet, as measured on the South and East lines thereof, of the Southeast quarter of Section 26, Township 42
North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian (Excepting from said Lot l that part taken for road
purposes), in Cook County, Illinois
also
The North 480 feet of the South 530 feet. as measured on the East line thereof(except the west 228.20
feet thereof and except the Gast 300 feel thereof, as rrieasured on the South line thereof) of the East half of
the Southeast quarter of Section 26, Township 42 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian,
in Cook County, Illinois;
WHEREAS, the Petitioner seeks a Special Use permit to allow an electronic message board as required
per Section 7.330.A of the Village Code of Mount Prospect, Illinois, as shown on the attached Exhibit;
and
WIIEREAS, the Petitioner seeks a Variation to increase the number of permanent items of information
frons six(6)to seven (7); and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the Special Use and Variation request (designated as CASE
NO. PZ-16-12) before the Planning & Zoning Commission in the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois Oil
,Tune 28, 2012 pursuant to due and proper notice thereof published in the Journal Newspaper on June 13,
2012;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Planning & Zoning Commission does hereby grant the requested Special Use
permit and Variation as described above, subject to the Petitioner obtaining a permit from the Community
Development Department and the following conditions:
a) The electronic reader board shall have a display period of ten (10) seconds before changing;
b) Compliance with the standards for electronic message centers as listed in Section 7.330 (A) ofthe
Sign Code;
c) Removal of the existing freestanding sign located at the southeast corner of the property; and
d) Submittal of a revised landscape plan that shows the base of the sign will be landscaped as
required by the Sign Code.
Except for the Special Use and Variation granted herein, all other applicable Village of Mount Prospect,
Illinois ordinances and regulations shall remain in full force and effect as to the subject property.
PASSED AND APPROVED the 28th day Of.lune, 2012 and effective five (5) days after this date, as
provided for by Section 5.504.E of the Mount Prospect Code.
