RESOLUTION NO. 17-99
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE CONSOLIDATED
ELECTION OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT HELD APRIL 13, 1999
WHEREAS, the Consolidated General Election was held in and for the Village of
Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, on Tuesday, April 13, 1999, for the
purpose of electing three Village Trustees for four year terms, three Library
Trustees for six year terms, and one Library Trustee for a four year term; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
do hereby declare the results of the April 13, 1999 election for said Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS:
~ That pursuant to the Consolidated Election Laws of the State
of Illinois, a regular election was held for the Village of Mount Prospect, Tuesday,
April 13, 1999.
SECTION TWO: That an official canvas was conducted by the Local
Canvassing Board for the Village of Mount Prospect declaring 5,851 ballots were
cast as follows:
Village Trustee - 4 year terms
Paul Wm. Hoefert 4,167
Irvana K. Wilks 4,007
Michaele W. Skowron 3,731
Carol A. Fields 3,639
Libra _ry Trustee - 6 year terms
Dale Barbara Draznin 3,714
Laura L. Luted 3,626
Jacqueline C. Hinaber 3,465
Pamela Nelson Sandoval 3,000
Library_ Trustee - 4 year term
Judith Klein 4,330

SECTION THREE: A) That inasmuch as Paul Wm. Hoefert, Irvana K. Wilks,
and Michaele W. Skowron received the greatest number of votes, they, and each
of them, are hereby declared elected to the Office of Village Trustee of the
Village of Mount Prospect for four year terms;
B) That inasmuch as Dale B. Draznin, Laura Luted, and
Jacqueline Hinaber received the greatest number of votes, they are hereby
declared elected to the Office of Library Trustee of the Village of Mount Prospect
for six year terms;
C) That inasmuch as Judith Klein received an
uncontested number of votes, she is hereby elected to the office of Library
Trustee for one four year term.
SECTION FOUR: That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to forward a
certified copy of this Resolution to the Cook County Clerk Election Department
and the State Board of Election Commissioners, as provided by law.
SECTION FIVE: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
AYES: Clowes, Hoefert, Lohrstorfer, Nocchi
NAYS: None
ABSENT: Wilks, Farley
PASSED and APPROVED this 20th day of April 1999.
