EUCLIDJ Access Public Type Action Public Content I MrSTEM,=0 On Tuesday, May 28, 2019, the Village Manager, Director of Community Development and Executive Assistant to the Village Manager met with Attorney Paul Tanzillo, Blazin Wings District Manager Vince Aumann and current Buffalo Wild Wings Operations Manager Adrian Rameriz regarding their request to assume ownership of the Buffalo Wild Wings located at 301 E. Euclid. Blazin Wings Inc. is seeking to obtain a Class "F-3" designation, which provides for full liquor service in both a restaurant and lounge setting. In 2005, John Weiler along with residents Mary and Terrance Winkler opened their fourth Buffalo Wild Wings franchise location in Mount Prospect. Currently together they own nine locations in Illinois. After nearly 15 years of successful franchise operations John Weiler along with the Winkler family are retiring and franchise contract gives corporate first refusal rights of purchase. Buffalo Wild Wings was founded in 1982 and currently has over 1200 locations across the United States. Blazin Wings Inc. owns 560 of these locations. Corporate's philosophy is to be a welcoming neighborhood family restaurant with a front seat for every sports fan. Their target customer is the younger sports fan who values time with friends. Currently corporate sales are 80% food and 20% alcohol. Current Operations Manager Adrian Rameriz has been with the Randhurst location since 2005 and will be hired on by corporate. He is aware of the Village's Fight Ordinance along with the need for all employees involved in the sale or service of alcohol to complete a certified liquor servers training course. Under Mr. Rameriz management, the Buffalo Wild Wings has been in good standing with the Village in regard to alcohol service. Corporate intends to make this a turnkey operation with sale finalized on June 10. They intend to have all current wait staff reapply for their positions and reintroduce them to corporate philosophy and standards. Mr. Vince Aumann discussed in detail corporate standards of employees and alcohol sales Current menu and hours of operation will remain the same and there will be no substantial changes. Alternatives 1. Motion to approve the Ordinance. 2. Action at discretion of Village Board Staff Recommendation All corporate officers have submitted to background checks and fingerprints in association with the Blazin Wings Inc. liquor license.
