Main St. Public Content Information Residents Marci and Will Lehnert have purchased the property located at 208 S. Main Street and are pursuing opening a Chicago style carry -out and catering hot dog restaurant called Hubby's Dog House at that location. They have operated a hot dog catering business for the past 9 years and are looking to expand their services by locating a brick and mortar restaurant and base for their catering operations in downtown Mount Prospect. They plan to invest over $160,000 in the building to transform the former automotive detail facility into their proposed business. The improvements include repaving the driveway and installing parking at the rear of the property for employees and customers. In addition., they will be adding new electrical, plumbing, HVAC., roofing and equipment necessary to operate the hot dog establishment. The entire building will be power washed and painted white with black trim. Simple signage will be added to the front with the restaurant name/logo. Vinyl lettering will be along the bottom of the front windows stating ""hot dogs - burgers - fries" ...etc. Overall the aesthetic would be clean and minimalist. They are requesting a Facade Improvement Grant to cover $25,,000 of the overall improvements. Alternatives 1.
