Golf Roadl 10 • Information On Thursday, October 18, 2018, the Village Manager and Executive Assistant met with Mr. William Kretsch owner of Jelly Cafe regarding his request for the creation of a Class F-2 Liquor License. The Class F-2 License provides for service of beer and wine at dining tables only. Jelly Cafe' has been operating in Mount Prospect since July 2013. The restaurant is located in the Mount Prospect Commons Plaza and is 2,400 square feet with 23 tables. Jelly Cafe' offers a vibrant breakfast and lunch menu seven days a week. Mr. Kretsch recently expanded to a second location in Palatine where he holds a State liquor license. He indicated that thc ability to • • cocktails like mimosas and •- would enhance his ability to attract and retain • With said License, Jelly Cafe' could offer such opportunities as a Sunday champagne brunch and other special Holiday promotions. A completed application as well as all other required documentation is on file. Mr. Kretsch has also submitted to a background check and fingerprints in association with the Jelly Cafe' liquor license. As required by the Liquor Code all managers and individuals involved with the sale and service of alcohol must complete a certified liquor servers training course. If the Villagc Board views this application favorably, an Ordinance creating a new Class "F-2" License would need to be adopted. Alternatives 1. Motion to approve the Ordinance. 2. Action at discretion of Village Board Staff Recommendation The required application is complete and on file along with the payment of appropriate fees and other documentation. If thc Village Board considers this request favorably, an Ordinance creating a new Class "F-2" License is recommended for approval. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS ACTING IN THE EXERCISE OF THEIR HOME RULE POWERS: SECTION ONE: That in accordance with Subsection A of Section 13.108 of Chapter 13 of the Village Code of Mount Prospect, as amended, the Corporate Authorities shall determine the number of Liquor Licenses available in each Classification and shall establish a list specifying the number of Liquor Licenses authorized. Said list is hereby amended increasing the number of Class "F-2" Liquor Licenses by One (1) WILLKAIT LLC D/B/A JELLY CAFE located at 1784 W. GOLF ROAD.
