Information
The Mount Prospect Police Department is proud to welcome K-9 Alex to the Department. Alex is an 82 pound 18 month
old purebred German shepherd. Alex was born in Belarus, Eastern Europe and hand selected to serve as a police K-9 by
F.M. K-9 Master Trainer Michael McHenry. Alex with his partner Officer Bryan Furr, a 15 -year veteran of the Department,
completed 6 weeks of intensive training. Alex is certified in locating articles, narcotics, tracking, and obedience.
