Goals
Information
Illinois State Statutes require that the Village Board approve the Official Zoning Map by March 31 of each year to reflect
the changes that have occurred in the previous calendar year. The 2018 Zoning Map update includes the following
amendments:
• The inclusion of over 100 acres of annexed property. The Birch Manor Condominiums were annexed in with RX
Single -Family Residence District zoning and the remainder of the properties were classified as I1 Limited
Industrial.
• A re -subdivision of a single family lot located at 803 W. Sha Bonee Trail.
A detailed list of the above zoning map amendments can be found in the attached exhibit "Table of zoning map edits".
Staff has completed all the necessary modifications to the 2018 Official Zoning Map and requests that the Village Board
approve the attached resolution.

1. Approval of the resolution to amend the 2018 Official Zoning Map.
2. Action at discretion of Village Board.

RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE 2018 OFFICIAL ZONING MAP
FOR THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, as mandated by the Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/11-13-19, the Corporate
Authorities shall cause to be published no later than March 31 of each year, a map
showing the existing zoning uses, divisions, restrictions, regulations and classifications
for such municipality for the preceding year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS
ACTING IN THE EXERCISE OF THEIR HOME RULE POWERS:
SECTION ONE: The Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect do
hereby adopt and approve the 2018 Mount Prospect Official Zoning Map, attached
hereto and presented as "Exhibit A."
SECTION TWO: This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
