Information The Village has established the Facade and Interior Rebate Program in the Prospect and Main Tax Increment Financing District that offers matching grants to businesses that make improvements to storefronts in the downtown district. The maximum Village contribution is $25,000 for restaurants (50% of the total eligible costs). The owners of Honey Butter Restaurant have made significant upgrades to their establishment at 106 W. Northwest Highway in the downtown district. They completed electrical upgrades, installed new signage, ceiling tiles, flooring, and painted the interior of the restaurant. The total expenses for this work was $32,822.64. Honey Butter Inc. is seeking reimbursement for $16,411.32 of eligible expenses related to this project. The Village currently has sufficient funds budgeted in account # 049.40.90.00.0.710.636.007 for the 2017 budget year. Alternatives 1. Approve the motion in support of the Facade and Interior Buildout Program in an amount totaling $16,411.32. 2. Action at discretion of Village Board.
