I. CALL TO ORDER at 3:00 pm.
II. ROLL CALL
Present: Sharon Anderson, Gerald "Skip" Farley, Leo Floros, Dale Henricksen, Linda Hoefert,
Jean Murphy, Michaele Skowron, Christy Watychowicz, John Zulaski
Members Absent: Alexander Bertolucci, Janice Farley, Patrick Mogge,
Ex-officio Members Present: Mayor Arlene A. Juracek,
Ex-officio Members Absent: Marianthi Thanopoulos
Additional Village staff members present: MP Public Works Director Sean Dorsey, Jim
Miller

III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
March 1, 2017 Meeting Minutes Moved by Skip Farley. Seconded by Anderson. Motion passed.
IV. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD NONE
V. OLD BUSINESS
A. Report: Website update —trivia, scavenger hunt and churches - Lindsay Rice
The Scavenger Hunt is continuing on website. Rice will create a button on home page to
lead to church narratives. They are currently on History section. Public Works Trivia fun
facts will start.
B. Report: Sponsorships update — Skip Farley, Leo Floros, Christy Watychowicz
Randhurst's snow plow contractor asked Skip Farley how his company can be involved in
sponsorship.
Rice left meeting at 3:45 pm.
C. Report: Education update— Patrick Mogge, John Zulaski
Zulaski sent letter to educators RE Memorial Day Parade.
D. Report: Time capsule prices — Lindsay Rice
There are few options: stainless steel and composite. Extensive discussion. No decisions.
Rice will obtain interior dimensions of 75th capsule. Discussed placement.
E. Report: Second round hydrant painting event— Christy Watychowicz
Zulaski sent out a letter to schools reminding them of Round II. Watychowicz is processing
the applications. The deadline was March 31.
F. Report: Centennial Arbor Day celebration — Sean Dorsey
St. Paul and St. Raymond schools will participate. Both raised money for tree purchase in
parkway in front of Historical Society on April 28.
G. Report: Embracing our Differences events —John Zulaski, Alex Bertolucci
April 18 is Opera for Everyone at the MP Public Library. Library will also show the
Centennial Dinner Video.
H. Report: Month of family fun events — Sharon Anderson
July 2017 is MP Centennial Fun Month.
I. Report: Upcoming events:
Library's opera—April 18
WWI screening of MP at Village Board Meeting May 10
MPHist Society spring dinner—April 22,
Prayer Breakfast— May 4
MPHS schoolhouse open house/education center rededication to Dolores Haugh —
May 7
Women's Club 1917 fashion show— May 16
Memorial Day parade— May 29
French Market— Sept 7 Centennial could sell mementos.
Randhurst Village —Sept 9 street fest

Dorsey will ask Special Events RE a Centennial Float for Lions July 4, 2017 parade.
