RE: COFFEE WITH COUNCIL
The monthly Coffee with Council was held.on June 13, 1992. Representing
the Village were Trustee Hoefert, Trustee Wilks, Trustee Clowes, Village
Manager John Fulton Dixon and Director of Inspection Services Chuck
Bencic.
Mr. R.J. Brandenburg - 912 So. Hi-Lusi stated there was garbage on
the lot at 500 W. Golf Rd. and request the Village do something. He
was told the Village would look into it. (Note: There have been
numerous property maintenance complaints on this property. We have
had the owner in court previously. The latest complaint was on a tree
on the site. The owner cut the tree down but a portion of the trunk
is still up and the branches are still in he yard. Bob Roels has
notified the owner to clean up the yard.)
Bill Walters - 209 Neil spoke on three (3) items:
a) He and his neighbors have been requesting a stop sign at
Neil and Autumn. He wondered what the status was for
appearance on the Safety Commission. Mr. Walters was informed
traffic counts were being taken and when these counts are.
compiled we would notify him of the results and a possible
date for the Safety Committee.
b) Mr. Walters questioned the status of the sidewalk on Harvest
Lane near Opus. Chuck Bencic'indicated this walk was on
last years sidewalk program but was not installed because
we were waiting for the Park District to confirm they had
permission to extend the walk through Opus to the Park site.
We have not received this confirmation from the Park District.
The three Trustees and Mr. Dixon requested the Engineering
Division be informed to place the walk on this years sidewalk
program and to install it.

c) Mr. Walters also asked if something could be done to stop
the runoff from the parking lot of the office building adjacent
to the west pond in Harvest Heights from draining into the
pond because it is causing erosion in the yard. Engineering
will check the drainage in this area and make some suggestions.
A general discussion on various subjects took place between the Trustees,
Mr. Dixon and Mr. Bencic. A request was made for the Planning Department
to look into the types of signage available for the Village Hall.
The meeting adjourned at approximately 11:30 A.M.
