INTEROFFICE MEMORANDUM
TO: Village Manager
All Department Heads
FROM: Director of Public Works 2 1gg2
DATE: August 10, 1992 PSG
SUBJ: August Coffee with Council
At the August Coffee with Council, Trustee Hoeffert represented
the elected officials and Village Manager Janonis and Public
Works Director were present.
A resident of the Prospect Meadows subdivision, Harold
Rentschler, is asking for Village assistance in obtaining a
vacant house at the northeast corner of Bob -O -Link and Forest
Ave. This home was seized by the United States government and
the Mount Prospect Park District, as well as the homeowners
association of Prospect Meadows, would like to see this parcel
of land purchased by the Park District and turned into a parking
lot for the patrons of the park directly behind it. Mr.
Rentschler stated that he is the President of the Prospect Mead-
ows Homeowners Association, which is comprised of 170 homes, of
which 118 residents are members of the association.
The residents adjacent to the house in question and the people
directly across the street have no objection to construction of
a parking lot. Mr. Rentschler also says he has a petition
signed by several people for acceptance of the property for park
use.
Mr. Paul Carlsendt, another Mount Prospect resident wanted Vil-
lage officials to be aware of the excellent presentation put on
by Mount Prospect police officers for a neighborhood watch pro-
gram in the area where he lives.
