SUBDIVISIONS
Viscioni's Plat of Resubdivision - 222 South Emerson Street
The applicant and owner of existing Lot 14 and 37.5 feet of Lot 13 is
asking that Lots 12,13 and 14 of Waldemar Krause's Addition in Mount
Prospect be resubdivided into two lots of record ago they can build a
new garage. The owner of Lot 12 and part of Lot 13 is agreeable to
having -his property included in this resubdivision. Lots 14 and 13
are toned R -A (Single Family Residence) while Lot 12 has a B-5 zoning
classification (Central Commercial). The net effect of the resub will
be to 'enlarge the width of both.the proposed lots. The northern most
lot will change from 50' to 62.5' in width while the southernmost lot
will be enlarged from 50' to 87.5'. The northern lot will be scheduled
for a rezoning in the future. All papers have been drawn properly and
have Staff approval. The Commissioners agreed but wondered why the
petitioner had to go through this procedure as the County had sent her
one tax bill covering her 87.5' and had thought this provision in the
code had been eased several years ago. A motion was made by Mr. Velasco
to approve the resubdivision as submitted with a second by Mr. Janus.
Motion passed 6-0.
Plaza United Plat of Resubdivision to be rescheduled for 1-3-96.

OLD BUSINESS - Rand Roa Corridor Traffic Conditio:
Mr. Fritz stated the purpose of this meeting was an over -view on
transportation. Representatives of IDOT, Mount Prospect Engineering
Staff and Police Department were in attendance.
Mr. Wilson of IDOT spoke of traffic escalation in recent years and pl-WO
for 6 traffic lanes on Rand Road. This is only in early preliminary
planning stages. Different stages of their plans have definite schedules
and monies must be allocated for the budget. We are looking at a 10 -year
time frame at best. It was very enlightening to all concerned but far
from the final decision. However, the traffic problems will not be easing
and must be dealt with and that is of concern to all. All were thanked
for attending. There will be a public information meeting in January to
get input from Rand Road residents and observers.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:35 PM.
All the Commissioners and attendees wish to thank Mr. Velasco's daughter
