A. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13
OF THE VILLAGE CODE
This Ordinance creates a Class "P" liquor license
for the Convenient Food Mart, 2025 E. Euclid,
authorizing the sale of packaged beer and wine
only. Exhibit A)

A. ZBA 29-V-91, 18 South Main Street
2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE GPd%NTING A
VARIATION FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT
18 SOUTH MAIN STREET
This Ordinance grants variations to allow
a 7 foot high chain link fence along
15.8 feet of the northern lot line between the
former Prospect Theatre site (owned by the
Village) and the existing fence at Prospect
Auto Body. The Zoning Board of Appeals
recommended granting the 7 foot height request
by a vote of 5-0. Exhibit B)
B. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14
(ZONING ORDINANCE) RELATIVE TO HOME OCCUPATIONS
This Ordinance amends specified Sections of
Chapter 14 in order to permit certain home
occupations. (Exhibit C)
IX. NEW BUSINESS
A. ZBA 35-V-91, 112 East Northwest Highway
The Village of Mount Prospect, as Petitioner,
is requesting the following variations
necessary to construct the new Fire and
Police Station at the existing location:
1. To allow a 12 foot front yard, instead
of the required 30 feet;
2. To allow an 8 foot sideyard instead of
the required 10' and a 1' 4" exterior
sideyard, rather than the required 30';
3. To allow a 10 foot parking lot setback
from the right-of-way, instead of the
required 30', and 'a 3.77 foot setback on
the west lot line, instead of the
required 10';
4. To allow 80.7% lot coverage, rather than
the 75% allowed;
5. To allow a building height of 40.5 feet,
rather than the 30' allowed;
6. To allow 99 on-site parking spaces,
rather than the required 137; and
7. To waive the requirement for a
12' x 35' loading space.
The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting
these requests by a vote of 6-0, except for 96
where the vote was 5-1.
B. ZBA 36-V-90, 11 South Pine Street
The Village of Mount Prospect, Petitioner, is
requesting a variation to allow a 5 foot sideyard
setback, rather than the required 10', in order
to accommodate three trailers on a temporary
basis. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended
granting this request by a vote of 6-0.
C. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18
(TRAFFIC CODE) OF THE VILLAGE CODE
This Ordinance prohibits parking on the west side
of Pine Street, between Northwest Highway and
Central Road, in order to allow access and
appropriate turning radius for Fire Department
equipment. (Exhibit D)
D. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING OUT OF STATE SERVICE
CREDITS FOR VIRJEAN DI BLASI IN THE ILLINOIS
MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT FUND
This Resolution authorizes an employee to pay
into the IMRF for previous years. (Exhibit E)
E. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE RENUMBERING CERTAIN
LOTS AND BUILDINGS AND CHANGINGTHE STREET NAME
OF ROOSEVELT AVENUE TO MEIER ROAD IN THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
This Ordinance renumbers certain addresses for'
properties located within the corporate
boundaries of the Village, which is necessary
in order for the enhanced 9-1-1 to be effective. (Exhibit F)
F. Accept public and private improvements in
conjunction with the development of the Rogers
Park Industrial Park on south Elmhurst Road.
G. Acknowledge receipt of the annual Fair Housing
Report from the Plan Commission.
X. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT
A. Bid Results:
1. Gasoline and Diesel Fuel
B. Waive bidding procedure and accept proposal for
moving the Fire and Police Department equipment
to temporary locations.
C. Request to waive bidding procedure and authorize
the purchase of lights =o be placed on municipal
buildings and trees in con]unction with the
Diamond Jubilee celebration.
