MAYOR'S REPORT A. Report of Mayor's veto of Ordinance No. 4325 VIII. OLD BUSINESS A. ZBA 35-V-91, 112 East Northwest Highway 1st reading of AN'ORDINANCE GRANTING VARIATIONS FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 112 EAST NORTHWEST HIGHWAY This Ordinance grants the following variations necessary to construct the new Fire and Police Station at the existing location: 1. To allow a 12 foot front yard, instead of the required 30 feet; 2. To allow an 8 foot sideyard instead of the required 10' and a 1' 4" exterior sideyard, rather than the required 30'; 3. To allow a 10 foot parking lot setback from the right-of-way, instead of the required 30', and a 3.77 foot setback on the west lot line, instead of the required 10'; 4. To allow 80.7% lot coverage, rather than the 75% allowed; 5. To allow a building height of 40.5 feet, rather than the 30' allowed; 6. To allow 99 on-s'ite parking spaces, rather than the required 137; and 7. To waive the requirement for a 12' x 35' loading space. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting these requests by a vote of 6-0, except for #6 where the vote was 5-1. (Exhibit A) B. ZBA 36-V-90, 11 South Pine Street 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 11 SOUTH PINE STREET This Ordinance grants a variation to allow a 5 foot sideyard setback, rather than the required 10', in order to accommodate three trailers on a temporary basis. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting this request by a vote of 6-0. (Exhibit B) C. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE RENUMBERING CERTAIN LOTS AND BUILDINGS AND CHANGING THE STREET NAME OF ROOSEVELT AVENUE TO MEIER ROAD IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT This Ordinance renumbers certain addresses for properties located within the corporate boundaries of the Village, which is necessary in order for the enhanced 9-1-1 to be effective. (Exhibit C) IX. NEW BUSINESS A. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A MODIFICATION FROM THE DEVELOPMENT CODE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1824 SITKA LANE This Ordinance grants a modification from the Development Code (Chapter 16) to permit a driveway width of 23~ 4" with an additional 2-1/2' flare on the east side of the parkway. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting the driveway width and the Plan Commission recommended granting the additional flare on the parkway. (Exhibit D) B. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF ORDINANCE NO. 4222 FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 32 SOUTH BUSSE ROAD This Ordinance extends the effective date of Ordinance No. 4222, granting a variation to allow a 60' wide turnabout driveway and 3 car garage for one additional year. The p~oject has been delayed and will not commence prior to the August 21, 1991 deadline. (Exhibit E) C. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF MISCELLANEOUS PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT This Ordinance authorizes the sale of miscellaneous interior fixtures, via auction, prior to the demolition of the Public Safety Building. Several people have expressed an interest in purchasing the windows and other items. (Exhibit F) D. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18 (TRAFFIC CODE) This Ordinance amends the Traffic Code to allow certain violations to be paid by mail, therefore eliminatling an appearance in court by both the violator and the police officer. (Exhibit G) E. Request for field change for screened in patio - 831 Partridge, which is located within the Huntington Commons Planned Unit Development. X.
