IV. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS - DOWNTOWN
ELIGIBILITY
The Department of Housing and Urban Development has determ/ned that a
downtown area is no longer eligible for CDBG funding for street improvements
and facade work. Staff will update the Village Board on this HUD decision.
Please note, however, that this decision will not affect our annual entitlement, as
higher funding levels will now be available for other eligible CDBG activities.
V. SOLID WASTE AGENCY OF NORTHERN COOK COUNTY
Representatives of the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County have been
requested to come back to respond to specific questions that were raised as an
outcome of the Hearing last Thursday on the Transfer Site. It is anticipated that
this item will be up for review by the Village Board at their meeting on
February 4.
VI. KENSINGTON CENTER - PONDS
At Board direction, we entered into a contract with Camp, Dresser & McKee for
review of the ponds in the Kensington Business Center. We have had discussions
with the Owners Association at Kensington Business Center and Camp, Dresser
& McKee to review their report which has met with general approval although not
brought to their entire Board at this time. Representatives of Kensington Business
Center will be present.
VII. R.IN ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERS - FLOOD PROGRAM UPDATE
Representatives of KIN will be present to review the schedule of work
contemplated for next year's flood program.
