AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT
2 NORTH MAIN STREET, MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect ("Petitioner"), has filed an application to rezone certain property
located at 2 North Main Street ("Property",) and legally described as follows:
LOT 1 IN TRAPANI'S RESUBDIVISION OF PART OF LOT A IN BLOCK 1 IN ERNST BUSSE ADDITION
TO MT. PROSPECT AND ALL OF LOT A IN HILLCREST, BOTH SUBDIVISIONS IN THE EAST 1/2 OF
THE SOUTHWEST 1/4 OF SECTION 34, TOWNSHIP 42 NORTH, RANGE 11 EAST OF THE THIRD
PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF RECORDED MARCH 18, 1999 AS
DOCUMENT NUMBER 99266288, IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
COMMONLY KNOWN AS:
2 N. Main Street through 40 N. Main Street
Mount Prospect, Illinois 60056
Property Index No. 03-34-331-018-0000; and
WHEREAS, the Petitioner has requested 2 North Main Street be rezoned from B5 Central Commercial to
RX Single -Family Residence; and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held on the request for rezoning being the subject of PZ -10-16, before
the Planning and Zoning Commission of the Village of Mount Prospect on the 26th day of May, 2016
pursuant to proper legal notice having been published in the Daily Herald Newspaper on the 11th day of
May, 2016; and
WHEREAS, on May 26th, 2016, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended the approval of the
map amendment set forth below to the Mayor and Board of Trustees; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have considered the
request being the subject of PZ -10-16 and have determined that the best interests of the Village of Mount
Prospect would be served by granting said request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE
OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS ACTING IN THE EXERCISE OF THEIR HOME
RULE POWERS:
SECTION ONE: The recitals set forth hereinabove are incorporated herein as findings of fact by the Mayor
and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect.
SECTION TWO: The Official Zoning Map of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, as amended, is hereby
further amended by reclassifying the Property being the subject of this ordinance from B5 Central
Commercial to RX Single -Family Residence.
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval
and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
