Foreign Fire Tax Board
March 1, 2016 Meeting Minutes
Call to meeting at 0833
Members present: T. Novak, A. Grandgeorge, M. Pastori, M. Kowalczyk, Chief Lambel, T.
Evans, M. Murphy.
Members absent: None.
Approval of special meeting minutes 2/2/16.
Officer’s report
Nothing to report
Treasurer’s report.
Waiting for a detailed account of what is currently in the account. Nothing has changed for the
last report, roughly $250,000.
Old Business
Hose testing is complete and the payment has been made in full.
Need to compile the new letters for the 2016 mailing.
New business
A submittal by M. Pastori regarding a sum$6000 to be used for FDIC and out-of-state training
which is not covered by the department. The new submittal will supersede the 2015 submittal.
Food and beverage has been taking off of the allowance. Now to only cover the tuition and
lodging.

Motion Passed
A submittal by D. Phenegar for new PT equipment at St. 12. The equipment is due to be
replaced through the CIP.
Lambel-Helping to offset the cost would put the CIP money back into the general fund.
Lambel-The equipment gets used frequently both on and off duty. Maintenance will continued
to be covered as it has in the past.

Motion to purchase PT equipment by A. Grandgeorge, 2by T. Novak.
Aye: Unanimous 7-0.
Motion passed
A submittal by N. Schlenbecker to purchase of 85 hoods and firefighting gloves.
Schlenbecker-The intention is to keep them as spares to be used as needed.
Grandgeorge-Could having spares by station be more cost effective and accomplish the same
thing.

Submittal by R.J. Schwegler for a cap of $5500 for hose testing in 2016.
-Somebody brought up that the understanding was last year was a test and it could then be
rolled into the budget. D/C Dolan and R.J. Schwegler were not in attendance to elaborate.

Grandgeorge.
