surrounding the traffic island. Ms. Malen felt more identifying markers are needed to prevent vehicles
from running up on the island. Staff noted the issue and will be reaching out to Public Works for follow-
up.
Korrin Anderson, S. Busse — Ms. Anderson is in the process of building a home near the intersection

commented on the condition of the parking lot for the former Dominick's grocery on the corner of Golf

informed the Mr. Manion that this item would be discussed at the next meeting between the village and
the owner of the property.
Clyde & Dee Randmark, Persimmon — Mr. Randmark, speaking on behalf of the bridge club that
meets at village hall, would like to see a dedicated "senior center" in the village. He shared how the
seniors had a center prior to the building of the new village hall and asks why a new center couldn't be
built. While Mr. Randmark acknowledges that the community center at village hall is available for
senior programming, she would like some dedicated space. Board and staff provided background on
uses for the community center use and options for making more welcoming for seniors.
Dave Schein, Na Wa Ta Avenue — Mr. Schein shared some general comments on how the "Dark Sky"
ordinance might possibly impact the addition of new roadway lighting. Mr. Schein provided some

winter snow removal and repairs of the damage are done during early spring. Public Works staff will be
asked to follow up on this item.
Tom Tezky, N. School Street — Mr. Tezky shared with the group his penning a book and would share
the details at a future meeting.
General discussion continued until the meeting was adjourned. Two items of note were information on a
village plan for street lighting and street light outage at the corner of Lavergne and Locust. Attendees
inquired as to how it is determined that street lighting is added to particular stretches of road. Public
works maintains a listing of resident requests for the addition of streets lighting. Trustee Saccotelli
requested a copy of the list. Public Works will be asked to notify ComEd of the light outage.
