A. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13
OF THE VILLAGE CODE
This Ordinance creates one additional Class "R"
liquor license for a new restaurant, to be known as
Chungkiwa Restaurant, at 1631-33 South Busse Road. (Exhibit A)

1st reading of AM ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION
FOR PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED AT 1500 - 1502
NORTH ELMHURST ROAD
This Ordinance grants a variation from
Section 14.3012 to allow a reduction in the
number of required parking spaces for this
shopping center, located at the southwest
corner of Elmhurst and Camp Mc Donald Roads,
from 116 to 70 to allow a Class III restaurant
(Lou Malnati carry-out) to occupy a portion
of the building. The Zoning Board of Appeals
recommended granting this request by a vote
of 6-0. (Exhibit B)

1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTS A
VARIATION AND SPECIAL USE FOR PROPERTY
COMMONLY KNOWN AS 228 & 230 SOUTH
PRAIRIE AVENUE
This Ordinance grants a variation to allow
a driveway width of 31 feet, as well as
granting a Special Use to allow a garage
designed to house more than 2 vehicles.
The Zoning Board of Appeals of recommended
granting this request by a vote of 6-0. (Exhibit C)
2. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING
MODIFICATIONS FROM THE DEVELOPMENT CODE
This Ordinance grants modifications to allow
an escrow to be established guaranteeing the
installation of streets, sidewalks and street
lights at a future date to be determined by
the Village. (Exhibi~ D)

1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL
USE FOR PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 102 HATLEN
This Ordinance grants a Special Use to allow
a garage designed to house more than 2 vehicles.
The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting
this request by a vote of 6-0. (Exhibit E)

1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL
USE FOR PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 309 NORTH
WESTGATE ROAD
This Ordinance grants a Special Use to allow
a satellite dish ten feet in radius. The
Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting
this request by a vote of 6-0. (Exhibit F)

1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A
VARIATION FOR PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS
508 SOUTH OWEN STREET
This Ordinance grants a variation from to
to allow a Floor Area Ratio of .46 in order
to construct a second story addition and
sun room to an existing single family home.
The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended
granting this request by a vote of 6-0. (Exhibit G)

A. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE XIV
ENTITLED "SIGN REVIEW BOARD" OF CHAPTER 5 OF
THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
This Ordinance amends the Village Code to
increase the number of members on the
Sign Review Board from 5 to 7. (Exhibit H)
B. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE X
ENTITLED "SAFETY COMMISSION" OF CHAPTER 5 OF
THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
This Ordinance amends the Village Code
to increase the number of members on the
Safety Commission from 7 to 9. (Exhibit J)
C. Sign Review Board Case No. 24-92, Text A~endment
The Petitioner, Chariie Club, is requesting
a text amendment to create a Special Use
category for off-premise signs. The Sign Review
Board recommends the request by denied by a
vote of 4-1.
X. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT
A. Bid results:
1. Can Dora/Wa Pella/Central Road Storm Sewer
B. Concur with recommendation of the Village Manager
to make payment in the amount of $21,000 to
Opus North Corporation for oversizing water mains.
