A. 1St reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7
0F THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
This Ordinance amends the Sign Code by creating
a Special Use category for off-premise signs
{Charlie Club). The Sign Review Board
recommended approving this request by a vote
of 5-0. {Exhibit
B. ZBA 59-Z-92 and ZBA 60-SU-92, 805 Edgewood Lane
1. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE
OFFICIAL ZONING MAP WITH RESPECT TO THE
ZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM R-X TO R-1
(SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE) DISTRICT AS IT
PERTAINS TO PROPERTIES GE/qERALLY LOCATED AT 805 AND 807 EDGEWOOD LANE
This Ordinance're-zones the subject property
from R-X to R-l, to permit the Subdivision
of this large lot into 2 lots in order to
construct 2 single family homes. The Zoning
Board of Appeals recommended approving this
request by a vote of 6-0. (Exhibit C)
2. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A
SPECIAL USE AND VARIATION FOR PROPERTIES
COMMONLY KNOWN AS 805 EDGEWOOD LANE AND
807 EDGEWOOD LANE
This Ordinance grants a Special Use to
permit a 3-car garage and a variation for
a driveway 30 feet wide, tapering to 21
feet at the property line. The Zoning
Board of Appeals recommended granting these
request by a vote of 6~0. (Exhibit D)
3. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING
MODIFICATIONS FROM THE DEVELOPMENT CODE FOR
PROPERTY CO~MONLY KNOWN AS 805 AND 807
EDGEWOOD LANE
This Ordinance waives the requirements to
install sidewalks, curb and qutter, street
paving, street lighting, and lot depth. The
Plan Commission recommended granting these
requests by a vote of 7-0. (Exhibit E)
4. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A
RESTRICTIVE COVENANT FOR PROPERTIES COMMONLY
KNOWN AS 805 EDGEWOOD LANE
This Resolution authorizes the Restrictive
Covenant to guarantee installation of
specified improvements at a date determined
appropriate by the Village. (Exhibit F)
5. Preski's Plat of Resubdivision
This subdivision divides one large lot into
two lots for the purpose of constructing two
single family homes. The Plan Commission
reviewed the proposed resubdivision and
recommended approval.
B. ZBA 63-V-92, 1028 Beechwood
1. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRA~TING A
VARIATION FOR PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN
AS 1028 BEECHWOOD
This Ordinance grants variations to allow a
27 foot wide driveway and lot coverage
of 40%, rather than the permitted 35%. The
Zoning Board of Appeals recommended
granting these requests by a vote of 7-0. (Exhibit G)
2. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING
MODIFICATIONS FROM THE DEVELOPMENT CODE FOR
PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1028 BEECHWOOD
This Ordinance grants a modification from
the Development Code to allow a driveway
apron 27 feet in width, rather than the
permitted 21 feet. The Plan Commiss.~on
recommended granting this request by a
vote of 5-0. (Exhibit H)
C. ZBA 66-V-92 and ZBA 67-SU-92, 1430 Bonita
1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION
AND SPECIAL USE FOR PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS
1430 BONITA
This Ordinance grants a Special Use to permit a
3-car garage and variations to permit driveway
width of 26' 8" and a 48% lot coverage. The
Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting
these requests by a vote of 7-0. (Exhibit J)
IX. NEW BU$INESS
A. ZBA 68-V-92, 212 South Owen
The Petitioner has filed an appeal from the
decision of the Zoning Board of Appeals to deny
this request for a 6 foot high fence.
B. Request of residents to reduce the speed limit
from 30 MPH to a 20 MPH speed limit on I-Oka
between Sha Bonee Trail and Hi Lusi, and on
Milburn between Hi Lusi and Pine Street
(School Speed Zones), for the safety of
children attending St. Raymonds School. The
Safety Commission recommended granting these
amendments to the Traffic Code.
C. Request of residents to establish a 4-way STOP
at the intersection of Milburn and I-Oka. The
Safety Commission recommended granting this
amendment to the Traffic Code.
D. Request to remove the restriction prohibiting
diagonal parking on Ida Court.
E. Request of staff ko eliminate the following
on-street parking spaces on Prospect Avenue:
1.One metered parking space just east of
Emerson Street; and
2. Four parking stalls, also just east of
Emerson Street.
These changes are being proposed in conjunction
with the relocation of the existing meter
'box from the east side of the pedestrian
sidewalk leading from the tracks to Prospect
Avenue to the west side which will provide
better visibility for pedestrians.

A. Bid results:
1. 225 a~pere transfer switch and accessories for
the Huntington Lift Station, 601 W. Golf Road

B. Request to retain Greeiey a Hansen as engineering
consultants in conjunction with the high service
pump replacement program.
C. Request to waive bidding procedure and authorize
purchase from Insituform for sewer rehabilitation.
