PRESENTATION: Lil FIoros', Chairman of the 75th Diamond Jubilee Celebration to present report on the year-long celebration. VIII. OLD BUSINESS A. ZBA 77-Z-92 AND ZBA 78-SU-92, 1000 W. Central Road The Petitioner is requesting the subject property be rezoned from I-1 (Light Industrial) District to R-3 (Apartment Residence) District and a Special Use Permit to allow a Planned Unit Development to permit 82 townhomes. The original request for 92 townhomes was amended at the Zoning Board of Appeals meeting to allow 82 townhomes. The recommendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals to approve these requests resulted in a vote of 3 Ayes and 4 Nays, therefore requiring a 2/3 vote of the President and 8oard present and voting in order to approve these requests. Please note that a revised site plan has been submitted indicating 74 units. This is a result of Kimball Hill providing on-site detention, as stormwater cannot be directed to the Melas Park basin as initially proposed. Related information is attached. IX. NEW BUSINESS A. Accept public improvements installed in conjunction with the Mount Prospect Commons Shopping Center, located at the northwest corner Golf and Busse Roads. B. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE EFFECTIVE ,/~'~ / DATE OF ORDINANCE NO. 4274, granting variations for the Historical Museum, 101 South Maple Street. (Exhibit A) X. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT A. Bid Results: 1. Telephone System 2. Traffic Control System Maintenance B. Recommendation to enter into a contract for a Classification and Pay Compensation Study C. Recommendation relative to repairs to the radiant heat system in the Senior Citizens Center. D. Request to temporarily exceed, by 2, the authorized sworn strength of the Police Department for purposes of hiring and · training police recruits in anticipation of reduction in force due to retirement and long tern3 disability of current sworn Police Officers, E.
