A. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE VACATING CERTAIN ALLEYS
LOCATED WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
This Ordinance authorizes the vacation of the alley abutting
School and Owen Streets between Northwest Highway and
Evergreen Avenue and the alley abutting Owen and Vvilliam
Streets, between Milburn and Evergreen Avenues. A Public
Hearing was held before the Village Board on February 16,
1993 relative to the proposed vacation of these alleys. (Exhibit A]
B. Authorize Mayor to sign and Clerk to attest his signature on
the Plat of Vacation of certain alleys.
IX. NEW BUSINESS
A. ZBA 7-V-93, 2001 East Euclid Avenue
The Petitioner is requesting a variation to allow a $24 square
foot accessory structure, instead 120 square foot maximum
allowed. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting
this request by a vote of 60.
B. ZBA 8-SU-93 and ZBA @-V-93, 1218 Crabtree Lane
The Petitioner is requesting a Special Use to allow a garage to
ho.use a commercial vehicle with a licensed weight of more
than 8,OOO lbs. and a variation to allow an accessory structure
with a height of 12' 6", instead of the maximum 12 feet. The
Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting this request
by a vote of 5-1.

These requests, to rezone the subject property from B-2 [Business
Office) to R-3 [Residential) and a Special Use in the nature of a
Planned Unit Development consisting of 11 townhomes on this
1.21 acre site, will be considered at the April 6th meeting.
D. ZBA 12-V-93, 805 Newberry Lane
The Petitioner is requesting a variation to allow an existing
accessory structure 2.25 feet from the side yard, instead of
the required 5 feet, and 1.63 feet from a principal structure,
instead of the required 10 feet. The Zoning Board of Appeals
recommended granting these requests by a vote of 6-0.
E. ZBA 14-V-93, 800 Ironwood Drive
The Petitioner is requesting a variation to allow an existing
concrete pad located within 6 feet of the required rear
property, instead of the required 15 feet, to remain. By a
unanimous vote, the Zoning Board of Appeals recommended
denying this request.
