PRESENT: Dick Bachhuber, George Luteri. Roos Mobus, Harold Rentschler and Mary Rosen.

ABSENT: Bill Donovan, Holly Johnson. Ken Westlake and Mary Winkler.
CALL TO ORDER:
Vice Chair Luteri called the meeting to order at 7:34 PM.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The approval of minutes was waived as no formal meeting was conducted in May. The
Coordinator stated the April meeting minutes had not been approved and should be done at the
next meeting with a quorum.
CITIZEN FORUM:
No citizens were present to address the Commission.
SOLID WASTE PROGRAMS/DATA:
The Solid Waste Coordinator stated an additional multifamily property is considering recycling
services but implementation requires approval of the owner's association. The property manager
will notiN the Coordinator when a decision is made.
fhe Coordinator stated there was no change in recycling data. She also indicated the Public
Works Department was still in discussion with ARC regarding the revenue paid for recvclables.
COMMERCIAL RECYCLING:
No change in status.

No SWANCC report given.
EVENTS:
The Coordinator thanked the Commissioners for working at the Public Works Open House,
stating once again the event was very successful.. It appeared there was an increase in the number
of residents stopping at the Solid Waste booth this year.
The Solid Waste Commission will be participating in the 4th of July Parade: there will be a float
and Commissioners along with Public Works staff will collect glass and aluminum containers
lroni onlookers. (The Ctx)rdinator will send a reminder to Commis -,Ion members with the time of
arrival and location of the float.)
Vice Chair (.uteri stated that Participants in the front of the parade need to be more cognizant of
their pace. Apparently once the parade amves at Central Road and Prospect Avenue the pace
speeds up and the distance between the Commission's float and the other parade participants
widens. The Coordinator stated she would pass this information on to the Assistant Village,
Clerk as she organizes the event.
NEXT ME, E'FfNU:
A motion to cancel the July 20 meeting was made, seconded and unanimously approved. The next
meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 17, 7:30 PM in the Public Works Facility, 1700 West
Central Road.
ADJOURNMENT:
As there was no other business the meeting was adjoumed at 5:10 PM.
