OLD BUSINESS A. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF FOUNDERS ROW, 1-17 SOUTH EMERSON STREET (Deferred to the March 1, 2005 Village Board meeting). NEW BUSINESS A. PZ-46-04, 1310 Burning Bush Lane 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1310 BURNING BUSH LANE This ordinance grants a variation for the construction of an oversized garage. The petitioner is appealing the Planning and Zoning Commission's recommendation (4-3) to deny the request. (Exhibit A) B. PZ-03-05, 1451 W. Lincoln Street, Residence 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1451 WEST LINCOLN STREET This ordinance grants a variation for a garage addition with encroachment into the side yard The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval by a vote of 5-2. (Exhibit B) C. PZ-02-05, 1-17 S. Emerson Street 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR A PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT AT 1-17 SOUTH EMERSON STREET This ordinance grants a Conditional Use permit and variations to allow the construction of fourteen (14) rowhomes as a Planned Unit Development. The Planning and Zoning Commission is recommending approval, with conditions, by a vote of 6-1. (Exhibit C) D. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4 (APPOINTIVE VILLAGE OFFICERS) OF THE MOUNT PROSPECT VILLAGE CODE This ordinance amends Article VIII of Chapter 4 by creating the position of Operations Commander within the Police Department. (Exhibit D) E. A RESOLUTION OPPOSING ANY REDUCTION OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT (Exhibit E) XII. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT A. Bid results: 1. Furnishing and planting of specified varieties of oak trees ($18,675.00) 2. Parkway tree furnishing and planting contract ($135,452.00) 3. Parkway tree trimming contract ($127,500.00) 4. Parkway tree removal contract ($72,100.00) 5. Parkway stump removal contract ($30,900.00) B. 1. Request to waive bid process and purchase the following vehicles for Police Department: . Nine (9) Ford Interceptor patrol squad cars ($198,400.00); . Two (2) Chevrolet Tahoe utility squad cars ($54,610.00); . One (1) Chevrolet Impala detective car ($17,340.00). 2. Request to waive bid process and purchase one (1) Ford Excursion command vehicle for Fire Department ($34,298.00). C. Request from Fire Department for Board approval to purchase one (1) galvanized flat-bed body and crane to be mounted on existing chassis ($50,665.00). D. LITIGATION 51LCS 120/2 (c) (11) - Litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the particular public body has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the public body finds that an action is probable or imminent, in which case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the closed meeting.
