INVOCATION - Mayor Farley IV. APPROVE MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING, May 18, 1993 V. APPROVAL OF ~LLS VI. MAYOR'S. REPORT A. PROCLAMATION: Congratulating Prospect High School Marching Blue Knights Band for being selected to participate in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. B. Request from new owners of Emerson House, 113 South Emerson Street, to continue operating under the existing Class "S" liquor license. The new name of this establishment will be the "Emerson Street Cabaret and Grill". C. Request from new owners of Giordano's, 1800 S. Elmhurst Road, to continue operating under the existing Class "R" liquor license. D. Appointments VII. COMMUNICATIONS AND PETITIONS - CITIZENS TO BE HEARD VIII. TRUSTEE COMMENTS IX. OLD BUSINESS A. ZBA 22-V-93, 412 North Pine Street 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOVVN AS 412 NORTH PINE STREET This Ordinance grants a variation to allow a front yard setback of 24 feet, instead of the required 30 feet.. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting this request by a vote of 4-0. (Exhibit A) B. ZBA 23-Z-93, 1000 - 1010 North Elmhurst Road 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT This Ordinance rezones the subject property from R-X to R-1 in order to construct 7 single family homes. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting this request by a vote of 4-0. (Exhibit B) C. ZBA 28-Z-93 and ZBA 29-SU-93, 1699 Wall Street At the request of the Petitioner, final action on the Ordinances rezoning the subject property and granting a Planned Unit Development have been continued in order to allow the Petitioner additional time to resolve some issues with the tenants of this building. X. NEW BUSINESS A. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY OVVNED BY THE VILLAGE This Ordinance authorizes the sale of a squad car to the highest bidder. This vehicle was damaged beyond repair in an accident. (Exhibit C) B. The Safety Commission recommends the following amendments to the Traffic Code (Chapter 18): 1. Prohibit parking on the west side of Emerson from Central Road to a point 45 feet south Of the south edge of Central. 2. Prohibit parking on the east side of Emerson · from*Central Road to a point 60 feet south of the south edge of Central. · 3. Prohibit parking on the south side of Bussa Avenue from 155 feet each of the east edge of Main Street (Route 83) on the south side of Bussa Avenue 4. Prohibit parking on the west side of Emerson from 180 feet soUth of the south edge of Bussa Avenue to a point 205 feet south of the south edge of Busse Avenue C. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF THE VILLAGE CODE This Ordinance establishes specific language relative to the sale and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages and those par~ies responsible for providing the alcoholic beverages. (Exhibit D) D. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT AND THE ILLINOIS CROSSROAD GIRL SCOUTS (Exhibit E ) E. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT AND THE RESOURCE CENTER FOR ELDERLY (Exhibit F ) F. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT AND THE SUBURBAN PRIMARY HEALTH CARE (Exhibit G) G. Request to ratify a field change for the Evergreen Woods Condominiums. · H. Accept public improvements installed in conjunction with the Par 4 Subdivision. Xl. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT A. Bid results: 1. One 12" trailer mounted disc brush chipper 2. Two 35,000 lb. GVWR truck cabs and chassis 3.* One lawn tractor/mower/optional snowblower & broom B.
