March 25, 2015
DISCUSSION
The apparent low bidder A Lamp Concrete Contractors, Inc. has previously worked for
the Village. A Lamp Concrete Contractors, Inc. has performed street resurfacing,
concrete restoration and is currently completing the Isabella drainage improvements.
All previous work completed by A Lamp was satisfactory. Supplied references were
contacted and said that A Lamp Concrete Contractors, Inc. completed their contracts
performing satisfactorily and that they would hire then, again.
RECOMMENDATION
I recommend the Village Board award a one (1) year contract to the lowest qualified
bidder, A Lamp Concrete Contractors, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $61,200.
Sufficient funds exist in the current budget.
